Why PSBC?

PSBC is not a “drop the kids off and go take a nap” organization. Rather we require active participation from child and parent. When the kids are out playing basketball, we want the parent running around with them. During literature discussions, we do want the kids asking questions and expressing their ideas, but we also want the parents to push their kids to use textual evidence and consider different perspectives. The more active the parent, whether that be reading the assigned book or participating in the games, the more they will have to talk about with their kids.

“Community - COME-IN-UNITY” by Coach Fazaluddin Syed, who serves as a PSBC tennis coach from the Philadelphia area. Fazal ranked No. 1 as a junior (U-18) in India. He played collegiate tennis at Temple University and was ranked No. 1 in both singles and doubles. He was also elected captain of Men's Tennis at Temple University.
