“Fostering success, nurturing mind and body.”

A discussion-based sports book club that harnesses diversity of thought.

Supporting education and innovation.

The Princeton Sports Book Club, the 2019 Green Medical Network Group Health & Innovation Grant Recipient for its focus on community health through family literacy. The startup, hopes to use young kids’ natural motivation for sports to motivate them to both read and engage in a “Harkness” approach to learning.

PSBC was founded by family and friends that are alumni of institutions where the Harkness style of learning is valued. In turn, the club emphasizes discussion-based learning and child-led conversations.

Meeting the Authors

PSBC is not an "drop the kids off and go take a nap" organization. Instead, we require active participation from both the child and the parent. While the kids are playing basketball, we encourage parents to join them in the activities. During literature discussions, we not only want the kids to ask questions and express their ideas but also encourage parents to guide their children in using textual evidence and considering different perspectives. The more actively involved the parent is, whether by reading the assigned book or participating in the games, the more they will have to discuss with their kids.

Addressing Diversity Gaps

Princeton Sports Book Club is dedicated to embracing diversity in academics and sports as we aim to encourage our young daughters to challenge themselves spiritually and physically.

An Environment for Learning & Sports

We create bespoke continuing education programs to address the needs of teachers and their student communities. From training on the latest technology to new pedagogical methods, we help teachers make their classrooms engaging and successful.

At Princeton Sports Book Club, we're redefining the learning experience, making it accessible to every young mind eager to embrace the synergy of physical prowess and intellectual curiosity.
